A Reflex Type Water Level Gauge is a robust and reliable instrument designed for direct visual indication of liquid levels in boilers, heaters, and process vessels. It operates on the principle of light refraction and reflection through a specially designed prismatic glass, which differentiates between liquid and vapor phases. The liquid appears dark while the steam/gas phase appears bright , giving a clear and unambiguous reading of the water level at a glance. These gauges are widely used in steam boilers, economizers, feedwater heaters, and process tanks , where continuous monitoring of water level is critical for operational safety and efficiency. The reflex gauge eliminates parallax errors and provides long-lasting performance under high temperature and pressure conditions. The gauge is designed with hardened reflex glass plates , metallic body construction (generally carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy steel), and high-pressure sealing gaskets, ensuring safe, leak-proof operation even in demanding boiler environments. Its rugged design makes it suitable for high-pressure steam boilers and thermal oil heaters where transparent tubular gauges may not be feasible. Construction: Body: Carbon steel / Stainless steel / Alloy steel depending on pressure & media. Glass: Tempered borosilicate reflex glass, resistant to thermal & mechanical shocks. Gaskets: Non-asbestos / graphite for high temperature sealing. End connections: Flanged / Screwed / Welded as per requirement. Available in different lengths (center-to-center), typically 250 mm to 2000 mm in multi-section designs. Designed with safety ball check valves to isolate gauge in case of glass breakage.
