Description
A Contactor Relay is an electrically controlled switching device extensively used in electrical panels of boilers, heaters, and process equipment to ensure reliable power control and automation. It acts as an intermediary between the control circuit (low voltage) and the power circuit (high current), enabling safe and efficient switching of electrical loads such as motors, heating elements, pumps, and auxiliary equipment.
In boiler and heater systems, contactor relays are critical for starting, stopping, interlocking, and protecting heating circuits, feedwater pumps, and combustion systems . These relays are designed with high dielectric strength, long mechanical life, and arc suppression mechanisms to withstand frequent operations under demanding industrial conditions.
Mounted inside the MCC (Motor Control Center) or electrical control panel , the contactor relay ensures safe remote operation, supports integration with automation systems like PLC/DCS, and offers auxiliary contacts for signaling, protection circuits, and interlocks.
Construction & Design Heavy-duty electromagnetic coil with high insulation resistance. Silver alloy contact tips with arc-quenching chambers for long life. Available in AC & DC coil voltage ranges (24V, 110V, 230V, 415V). Modular design with DIN rail or panel mounting options.
